About Me

Gita Bhattacharjee: I am Nature & Wildlife Artist ,Contemporary Realistic Artist from New Delhi ,India . In 2003 I changed my name from Gita Arora to Gita Bhattacharjee after marriage. My husband Nikhilendu Bhattacharjee, originally from North East Assam Silchar , Artist and Teacher ( Home Tutions in all subjects, sepicalist in Science and Maths in New Delhi for more than 25 years) liked my tiger water colour painting so much that he said me he will teach me oil painting and I learned oil from him. Medium of my work are oil on canvas, water color and photo realism is my style of work. Excellence in realistic approach and detailed work . Source of my inspiration - I make paintings from photos from Books, Magazine, Internet Images, Newspaper Photographs, Self taken Photography etc. Subject of my work - Paintings of Landscape, Seascape, Garden, Floral, Fruit, Sports, Golf , Polo , Automotive Art, Self Portrait, Family Portrait, Wildlife, Endangered Species, Pet Portrait, Self / Family Portrait with Pet, Still Life, Instrumental, Monuments, Antique, etc. I did various Solo and Group Art Exhibitions.
